About us

Who we are​

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every child deserves the opportunity to reach their potential. With your help, we can ensure that more children in the Cape Flats have the food, support, and safe space they need to grow into confident, empowered individuals.

The founder, Bryan Torien, started extending help to needy children and youth with one feeding scheme which grew to three per week in areas of conflict on the Cape Flats. This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, basic necessities and education. Our team slowly expanded and the need for additional resources towards education, sports and developing safe spaces for children intensified as we were sought out by other NGOs, churches and schools to assist with basic needs like meals.

We now have a bigger mandate than we initially planned when we saw the need for programmes that would assist the children to adapt to challenges, we not only need to feed their bodies but also their mind to allow them to be able to have basic survival skills that will assist them to not get entangled in this cycle of poverty, substance abuse and violence.

Our mission is to make sure all young people and children get all the support they need, when they need it, no matter what it is. ​

Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

We want to build a world where no child or youth feels alone and gets every possible help they need as soon as possible. ​

Our entire team wants to see a world where every youngster struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with education, jobs, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
